Maintenance for Project Management Methodologies

My question: Is it true that you don’t charge maintenance or support fees annually?

Our answer: Yes that‘s true. While we release new versions of the Task Management Software several times a year, we do not change an annual maintenance fee for doing so.

Nor do we charge a support fee for providing you with 1st 2nd and 3rd level support. In this way, the only price you pay is the upfront price for the product. All later versions come for free. We would like to see you upgrade to other editions of our software or multiple user licenses, so that you can increase the use of our products in your organization. Purchasing a Project Management Methodology

Qu: If I purchase MPMM Professional, and I later want to buy additional licenses, am I still entitled to receive an upgrade refund? I’m also interested in Gantt Chart Software.

Answer: Yes absolutely. You will see that on our shopping cart for MPMM Professional, that if you buy multiple user licenses in batch, then you will only have to pay the difference between what you have paid already and what the total value of the new licensing is. For instance, currently MPMM Professional is $495 for a single user license and $695 for a 2 user license. If you buy a single user version and after want to upgrade to a 2 user license, then proceed with your purchase and we will refund you $495. In this way, you’re only paying $200 for your license. Very few Project Planning Software providers in the market operate like this. Usually, you do not get a refund for any existing purchases, when you later upgrade to a larger number of licenses. However as our goal is to eventually get you using the Enterprise edition, we’re happy to provide you with upgrade refunds until you reach that point. Make sense?

Project Methodologies – Installation

Question: How can I install the multi-user version of MPMM Professional, for our Project Management Life Cycle?

Answer: when you purchase a multi-user license to MPMM, then you will receive a serial number that allows the software to be activated on the number of devices that you have purchased. You will also receive instructions for installing the software on a shared platform. This software also helps with the Project Initiation phase in the life cycle.

You first need to get in touch with us and we will provide you with links to download the multi-user version to your PC. You can then install the client on your PC or laptop and as part of the installation process; you will be prompted to install the database in a central location. You can then install each of the additional PCs and as part of their installation process; you can connect them to the shared database that you are connecting to also. It’s that easy! We have recently changed the pricing for the multi-user version of our products. If you wish to purchase MPMM Standard, Professional or Enterprise for multiple people, then the price has dropped substantially. We have done this to allow organizations that are being hit by the credit crunch, to be able to afford to buy our products. It’s as affordable as Project Planning Software.

We didn’t want to disadvantage our customers by keeping prices as they were, given the current market conditions. So we’ve reduced out multi-user pricing by as much as 50% to allow companies with reduced capital budgets, to be able to continue to afford to buy our software. Content in Project Management Methodologies

Question: How does MPMM Enterprise work, in terns of being able to publish methodologies to our intranet? Is it related at all to a Project Management Dashboard?

Answer: Actually, the content and features included in MPMM Enterprise are exactly the same as the Professional edition, with two exceptions. It includes an open user license to use the software on as many PCs as you need, within your organization. And secondly, it includes the feature which allows you to publish your content on your intranet. You simply create customized methodologies in the software itself (as you would in MPMM Professional) and when you’re ready, you click “Tools” and then “Export to Web” and MPMM automatically collated all of the content within your methodology and publishes them as a folder full of HTML files. You then copy those HTML files onto your intranet in a shared folder and hey presto, everyone can read your methodology automatically. It’s that quick and simple. And it offers customized Project Management Tools as well.

“How many Project Management Methodologies should I use for my projects?”

The answer is really that you should have slightly different Project Management Methodologies for each type and size of project you undertake. That’s not to say that you should have a different Project Management Methodology for every project. In fact, we recommend that you have only one generic methodology and that you tweak it for each type and size of project, based on your requirements. For instance, small simple projects will require fewer steps in your project methodology and large complex projects will require a project methodology which has more comprehensive steps.
