If I want to create a Change Register, which data columns should I have in it?
A Change Register is needed in order to log all of the change requests from customers throughout the entire life of the project. The Change register will in-fact list and describe every change that has been identified by customers and internal team members and records the status of the change in addition to the implementation details. The purpose of the change register is to ensure that every change that has occurred through out the life of the project is formally recorded, monitored, and controlled so that the scoop of the project may remain on track.

How do I create a change request form and is it really needed?
You can complete a Change Request form using MPMM. Each form has been included within this project management software. A Change Request form includes all of the details of the requested change, the drivers of the requested change, benefits of the change and the cost of the change so that the project manage can gain acceptance from the customer that the change is required and further enables the project manager to identify the impact on the project plan.

What types of project should we implement a change management process and what should this include?
Every project in every industry for all sizes should have a Change Management Process. The reason is that regardless of the length of the project or the expenditure incurred during the project life cycle, almost every project will encounter change. The reason is that while the project is continuing the customers business is evolving and encounters changes to their requirements which should be tracked formally within a project. A Change Management Process helps project team members to record changes to the project scoop that have been requested by the customer and to gain the customers approval to those scoop change requests. Change management and Scoop management are synonymous, meaning that they are both one and the same and are implemented in order to control the extent of change to the project life cycle.

I have heard of the template called a Quality Register can you please tell me what it is, and how I should use it?
A Quality Register is a place where the project team recorded all of the activities which are undertaken to determine whether or not the quality targets have been meet. So every time a quality assurance review or quality control review is completed the quality register is updated with the quality results. A quality register will not only include all of the activities and results it will also describe the review methods which were undertaken, the dates on which they were performed, and the final outcome of those reviews.

What is a Quality Review Form and how should I use it?
A Quality Review form is a form used by team members to record and track the current status of a deliverable in terms of its level of quality. Its level of quality is basically the level to which the deliverable produced meets the needs of the customer as defined at the start of the project. Every time a deliverable is completed or near completion a quality review form should be completed by the project team to determine whether or not it is meeting the quality targets of the customer. It is reviewed by the project manager to determine if the deliverables is ready for customer signoff.

Can you please tell me about Quality Control ?
Quality control is different from quality assurance because quality control happens within the project as opposed to outside the project. Quality Control reviews are typically formal reviews taken by the project team in order to determine whether or not the deliverables produced by the project team members themselves actually meet the requirements of the customer. Where as quality assurance reviews are undertaken independently or externally to the project in order to ensure that the project overall is on track.

Can you please tell me what Quality Assurance verses Quality Control?
Quality Assurance is defined as the steps taken by a project manager to ensure that a project is meeting its quality targets through independent reviews. The term independent reviews is provided specifically because the reviews which are undertaken to review the project need to happen independently of the project team. Typically independent or external resources will come in and review various stages of the project to determine if it is on track, and what the quality outcome is.

What is Quality Management and why do I need a process for it?
Quality Management is typically something that is overlooked by project managers around the world. The reason is that it is very difficult to be able to succinctly define. Quality can be defined generically as the ability of the deliverables produced by the project to meet the requirements of the customer. Therefore the quality management process includes implementing the steps required to ensure that the deliverables produced meet all of the requirements that have been defined by the customer to-date. The process includes performing quality assurance, quality control reviews in order to determine the current status of quality in the project and the approval of the quality outcomes.
