Licensing Another Project Management Life Cycle
Question: Why doesn’t MPMM include other methodologies as well as yours?
Answer: In the future (later in 2007), we intend to license different project management life cycle suites from across the globe, including all of the worldwide standards for project management, to include in MPMM. By including all project management life cycle popular methodologies in MPMM, it will become the methodology “super-tool” of the online project management industry.

Latest Release Feature – Project Management Methodologies
As a Project Manager, you can gain comfort from having project management methodologies that you know well, have used before and have customized to fit your specific style of management. To this effect, it’s also comforting to have project management methodologies which look and feel like your own.
To make MPMM look and feel like you’ve created it, we suggest that you use the latest features released in Version 3 to do the following:
- Create your own project management methodologies home page. On this page, add your own business logo, description of your methodology and types of projects that the methodology is suitable for.
- Play around with the color scheme, so that it fits with your own corporate environment. Change the font of the text, the color of headings and the general page payout and style.
- Create your own project management methodologies. The current pages within MPMM are interlinked, based on the project management methodology that comes with the product by default. But if you wish, you can change the linkage between pages, to create your own project management methodologies flow which makes sense to you and are more suitable to your particular projects.

Tip…Choosing your Project Management Process Home Page
When you first load MPMM, the opening page is called the “Home” page. If you have the Professional edition of the MPMM project management process, then you can choose which page loads as the home page and what the content of that page displays.
To chose a different home page to the one currently displayed, open the “Methodology Manager” and select the methodology that you wish to choose the Home page for. Then after choosing your project management process, select the page that you want to have as your new home page, select “Edit Page” and then tick the box “Make this the Home Page”. Only one page can be your Home page in each methodology, so if you choose a new page to become your Home page, then the page that was previously your Home page will be deselected.
Remember that not only can you select which is your Home page, but you can also edit the content on that page. Most users want to on their home page their Company logo and briefly describe what the purpose of the methodology is and who to contact for questions or training.

Merging Project Management Methodology
Client Request:
I often have the situation where I have a new project, and two or more methodologies within MPMM are suitable. I want to be able to merge the methodologies to create a new project management methodology for my project. Is this possible?
Support Team Response:
Yes you can do this now, by creating a third project management methodology and then copying or moving the pages from the other two project methodologies into it. However in the future, we are considering enabling you to do this through the click of a button, rather than having to move the pages manually. The features offered by the MPMM professional edition currently, enable you to control manually, which pages are merged into a new project management methodology and which pages are not. You can select to merge the lifecycle, template or business case study pages of your choice. While we can provide you with a button that you click to merge methodologies of your choice, you would still have to select the pages that you wanted merged. Also, how would you treat pages that had the same name, had duplicate internal links or unique customizations? These are the types of questions that we will have to answer in order to provide the Merge feature to you. In the meanwhile, the process of merging two project methodologies manually, using the MPMM Professional Methodology Manager, is straight forward, quick and easy to use and it works well. You can also do this on Project Manager.

Download Project Management Life Cycle Trials
Q: I was unable to download your trial edition for the project management life cycle as my internet speed is very slow. Could you please burn me a copy to CD and send it to me.
A: We’re still creating the facility to send trials on CD. If you check back with the site in 3 months time you should be able to order the trial on CD then, via our website.
Q: Your recent press release has really attracted my attention as we are looking for a similar project management life cycle from other vendors. I would like to have more in depth information as per the following:
- Do you have a support office in the Middle East as our company is located in Oman?
- Do you provide professional project training that counts for the PMP exam?
A: Thank you for your question. It’s always great to hear from people looking to adopt MPMM for their business. We’ve responded directly to your questions below, as requested:
1) “Do you have a support office in the middle east?” Within the next 6 months, we are planning to launch an MPMM Partner Program, whereby we establish support offices in each country around the globe. While we don’t currently have a support office in the Middle East, it is definitely a target market for us and it is listed as an area in our Strategic Plan to set up a local office.
2) “Do you provide professional training…”. At present, we offer project management software which helps project managers, trainers and trainees (i.e. MPMM). We are just about to apply to PMI to become a Registered Educational Provider (PMI REP) which means that within the next 9 months, we will be able to offer courses which count towards your PMI PMP exam.
3) “Do you provide in-house training…”. To be honest, you are better to contact a local consulting and training house to obtain training locally, as they will much better serve your needs. When our partner program goes live within the next 6 months, you will be able to search our website (www.mpmm.com) for a list of MPMM training providers in your local area.

Did you know…Multi-User Project Management Methodologies Licenses
How to find out about getting a multi-user license? For each license you purchase, you can install MPMM (Project Management Methodologies) on one PC, laptop or other device. However if you want your team to use MPMM and you wish to really make use of the export and import features provided within the MPMM Professional edition, then why not consider purchasing a multi-user license? You can purchases licenses in small denominations (such as 2, 3, 5, 10 or 20 licenses) or licenses in greater quantities (100+).
One advantage of buying project management methodologies licenses in bulk is the discount rate. For license purchases up to 100 users, you can get up to a 65% discount off the cost per individual licenses. For license purchases over 100 users, you can get even greater discounts on the price of each individual license.
When you purchase a multi-user project management methodologies license, you will receive a serial number for the respective number of licenses you’ve purchased. Then simply download and install the MPMM trial edition on each of the PCs that you have purchased a license for, and enter the serial number provided.
You will be required to activate your license (usually online) and the number of activations that you have assigned will match your number of licenses purchased. In this way, you can ensure that you install and activate MPMM on the same number of PCs that you have licenses for. It’s a fairly simple process that allows organizations to download and install MPMM on a large number of PC’s quickly and easily. Try Project Manger or Project Management Kit.

Local Project Management Process Presence
Question: When will you have local representatives in our country?
Answer: We are currently building our Reseller Program so that we have a team of consultants and trainers covering the globe, to be able to bring local project management process knowledge to a “town near you”. In addition, we’re planning on releasing our partner program mid this year, so that you can call on a certified MPMM professional at any time, to help you with your installation. This will also be avaiable for this online project management and these project management tools.

Latest Release Feature – Creating a Project Management Methodology Index
In the latest edition of MPMM, you can create and customize your very own project management methodology for your projects. You may end up creating methodologies which contain dozens, if not hundreds of content pages describing the project management methodology.
So once your new project management methodology is complete, how can you ensure that you can access the right information quickly and easily, when you need it – without having to look hard for it? The answer is with the Index and Related Topics.
When you create each new project management methodology, you will want to assign Index terms to every methodology page you create. These terms are added to the MPM index so that later when you’re looking for content to help you manage your project, you can simply select the most appropriate term in the Index for your methodology and the relevant content pages will immediately be displayed below.
And when creating your new project management methodology, don’t forget to assign Related Topics pages to each new methodology page you create. The Related Topics pages help you to group related pages together, so that when you’re reading content about a particular project management topic, each of the topics related to it are immediately available to read as well. These Project Management Templates and Project Management Software can also assit you in this.
