Different Functions for Project Management Methodology
Client Request:
Can you please add more content to the Help and Tutorial sections in MPMM Professional?
Support Team Response:
Yes, as we add new functionality to each new version of MPMM, we continually update the Help and Tutorial sections. In time, we hope to be able to offer you a more automated and interactive Help and Tutorial sections, through animation and voice. However this feature is probably 12 months away. At the moment we’re concentrating on more core development features and the potential integration of current worldwide standards into the MPMM project management methodology.
Client Request:
I’ve created a project management methodology using MPMM professional, in fact – more than 30 all told. The reason is that I like to create a slightly different variation of each methodology for every new project I undertake. Every time I start a new project in MPMM, I duplicate a methodology used for a prior project, to be used for the new project. I then “tweak” the new project management templates to its 100% suitable for my immediate needs. My request is this: With more than 30 of my current project management methodology in the Methodology Project Manager, it’s not easy to search for and find the relevant project methodology which I need to use. Can you please make it so that I can list my project management methodology in alphabetical or date order? That way, I can easily search for the relevant methodology and duplicate it for my current project.
Support Team Response:
Answer: Yes, we will implement this feature in the next version of MPMM Professional. It’s a good idea.

Project Management Life Cycle Trial Period
Q: Hi. We’ve been trialing the MPMM project management life cycle standard edition for some time now, but we have just got the error message “A valid license could not be obtained”. Can you please advice?
A: This issue is most probably because you’ve tried to wind the clock back on your PC to extend the free trial period. We have added some clever code to identify when this happens and prevent people from extending their free trial indefinitely, otherwise we’d be out of business! If you want to extend your free project management life cycle trial period, then the best way to do this is to download the project management software to another PC in your company and trial it for the full trial period length there. You can usually only download a free trial to a single PC once. We believe that the free trial periods are long enough for you to get a good feel for this project management life cycle and make your purchasing decision.

Project Management Process Training and Primavera
Q: We provide project management process training and I am interested in using your project management process for training. We will purchase the education version but I am interested in using the same material to create Powerpoint presentations as well as map the process in to Primavera. Your input is highly appreciated
A: Trainers mostly install MPMM project management process on a laptop and then use that device to present the materials to classroom trainees. As long as you are not reinstalling the license on multiple devices, you may show the materials to as many students as you wish. Lecturers are currently doing the same now in universities. Also – within the next 6 months, we plan to offer an Educational Partner Program for lecturers. The partner program will essentially include a suite of PowerPoint presentation material to help lecturers such as yourselves provide project management tools training. Regarding Primavera, MPMM project management process is not currently integrated with Primavera however you are most welcome to generate Primavera plans based on the content provided by MPMM. We plan to have Primavera integration with our online project management Professional Edition of MPMM, within the next 9-12 months.

Latest Release Feature - Adding Project Management Methodology Page Links
When you create a new project management methodology page, you will usually want to link that page to another page within the same methodology so that it becomes part of the overall project manager process.
With the release of MPMM Version 3.0, adding links has never been easier. Simply select the text that you wish to create a link from, and then click the link button on the top right hand side of the Methodology Manager editor. Using the link button, you can create a textual link to another page within the same project management methodology, another page within a different project management methodology or even link to an external website. Then when you save your page changes and view your project management methodology, you can click the link to be routed automatically to the target location.
Advanced users will notice that you can also select an image that you have inserted onto a page, and make the image itself a clickable link as well. To do this, insert the image into the correct location on your page, then click the Link button and choose your target link location.
Adding links to other pages helps you to integrate your new page within your overall project management methodology and project management tools.

Tip…Why Project Management Life Cycle are Different
Here are a few tips about a project management life cycle. Project Management Life Cycle is different than other types of content displayed within MPMM project management life cycle, as they are not just content that you read, they are real-life living documents that you export into Microsoft Office and fill-in to create a project deliverable.
Within MPMM, we have two copies of each template; a copy that you view (in HTML format) and a copy that you export (in Microsoft Word or Excel format). The reason for having two copies of each project management life cycle is that the best quality document format for viewing is HTML and the most practical format for exporting is Microsoft Word (or Excel). In that way, you can view high quality documents, and still use them practically within your project.
If you have the Professional Edition of MPMM, then you will notice the differences even more. The reason is that by using the Methodology Manager, you can create your own project management life cycle. When you create your very own project life cycle, you can import a project management life cycle you currently use for projects, into MPMM. When doing this, you will save an HTML version and a Word version of each template to be added to the MPMM database.
So yes, templates are different than other types of project management life cycle content. But they look and feel the same, when viewed within MPMM and within Project Manager.com’s project management software.

Selling my own Project Management Methodologies
Client Request:
It is cool that I can now add my own project management methodologies. I have some clients that I want to be able to release my own project management methodologies to. I understand that I can just resell them MPMM and then export my current project management methodologies and allow them to import it. So I can then in effect, sell them my own methodology. That is great, but when I do this, I will also want to add security protection for the project management methodologies that I sell them. For instance, I may want to be able to prevent them from copy/pasting content out of the product, accessing certain areas of my methodology or make it so that only a certain number of people at my client’s site can use it. If you could do this, then I’m able to sell my own project manager methodology and license it to a specified number of users. Is this possible?
Support Team Response:
Yes this is definitely possible. Thanks for raising it. In version 4, we hope to be able to give you all of these features, to allow you to license and sell your own project management methodologies to your MPMM client base. An example of what you might like to do is create and license your own project management methodologies for “software projects”. You might have a heap of processes, documents and templates that you’ve used to manage software projects for in the past. By uploading it into MPMM (using the Methodology Manager provided in the Professional edition), you can then link each of the documents, processes and templates together to create your own “Software Development Lifecycle” (otherwise called an “SDLC”). You can then resell MPMM to your clients and after they have installed it, you can use the Export and Import features to sell and send them your methodology. Of course, you can do all of this now. However to help you to control the way that your project management methodologies is distributed and accessed, we intend to provide you with a set of new security features. These features will perform all of the functions that you’ve listed and more. The only item you’ve asked for which is more difficult is enabling you to control the distribution of the methodology which you have created. At the moment, if you create and sell a methodology to one of your clients, there is nothing to stop them forwarding that methodology to others. So currently, you should control the distribution of methodologies that you have created, by signing a license agreement or contract with your customer. This agreement will confirm the number of users that your project management methodologies should be used for. In the future, we hope to be able to allow you to do this automatically within MPMM itself. This is certainly a leading edge requirement, as we’re not aware of any other project management tools in the market that will be able to provide you with such features.

Download this Trial for your Project Management Process
Q: I tried installing the trail version of your MPMM project management process and got a CRC error message. What should i do?
A: This problem usually occurs because the installer file has become corrupted during download. It sometimes happens with users who have very slow download speeds. We would suggest re-downloading the installer from the website and trying again in 1 hour. If you get the problem again after re-downloading, let us know and we will look into other ways of getting the trial edition of MPMM project management process to you.
Or simply try using this Online Project Management Software that doesn’t require installation. Or try these easy downloadable Project Management Tools.
